The Italian Purchasing and Supply Management Association is active on various fronts for the success of the event
Green Logistics Expo, the international event for business, marketing, culture, study, exhibition and an exchange of views on the most advanced themes involving the logistics chain and its interactions with environmental sustainability (with the second edition to take place at Fiera di Padova from 18 to 20 March 2020), and ADACI, the Italian Purchasing and Supply Management Association (Associazione Italiana Acquisti e Supply Management) have entered into a collaboration agreement to help develop the awareness and use of innovations in the sectors of real estate, management, transport, technologies, software and new urban designs.
The agreement also covers organisation of a conference during the Expo (scheduled for Thursday 19 March 2020) where prestigious speakers will take an in-depth look at the most important themes of common interest to corporate users and suppliers of logistics services. The contribution of both players in the sector is, in fact, vital for constructive development of operational strategies and methods coherent with the objectives of sustainable development.
In the words of Luca Veronesi, CEO of Fiera di Padova, “With organisation of Green Logistics Expo, we are facilitating the networking of all those involved in the complex world of logistics, both between the players themselves and with the world of production. We are, in fact, convinced that effective economic development depends on close collaboration between logistics and manufacturing. Thus our great interest in collaborating with ADACI.”
Fabrizio Santini, President of ADACI, adds: “I really am delighted with the collaboration, which integrates well with the objectives and scope of our association. It will be an excellent occasion for contact and an exchange of knowledge between the world of logistics and the purchasing and supply chain management areas of the corporate interface. Enrico Rainero, promoter of this collaboration and founder of the SuPER Sustainable Procurement & Efficiency Responsibility task force, affirms: “During every historical transition, the evolution in methods of goods transport has been a decisive factor for economic and social progress. We are living through one of these moments today, with a paradigm change towards sustainability.”
In the months leading up to the event, both organisations will be working to involve top corporate protagonists to develop operational, technological and commercial content.
